Abstract

We study the value of tokens in the tired payment network and how it depends on the network structure. We also study the efficiency gain from an core periphery payment network.

Bio

Shengxing Zhang is an economist who applies search and matching theory and information economics to study the transmission of monetary policy and imperfections of the financial market and other markets. His works have been published in academic journals such as Econometrica, American Economic Review, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Theory, and Theoretical Economics. He is currently an Associate Editor at the Journal of Economic Theory, International Journal of Economic Theory, and Journal of Economic Theory. He has also served on the editorial board of the Review of Economic Studies.
