Kenzo Fujisue is currently a Member of the House of Councilors of Japan.
In 1986, Dr. Fujisue began working for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). He held various positions including Deputy Director of the Environmental Policy and International Policy Divisions, and Section Chief of the Electronics Industry Division.
Dr. Fujisue became an assistant professor at Tokyo University in April 1999 and was promoted to associate professor in July 2000, a position which he held until 2004.
In 2008, Dr. Fujisue was appointed to the position of Adjunct Fellow-CyLab. In this role, Dr. Fujisue will assist in the implementation of the CyLab/INI Japan Initiative. The goal of this initiative is to increase the number of CyLab corporate partners that are based in Japan. In addition, a key focus area is to significantly increase the number of Japanese students that attend the Kobe, Japan campus for the Information Networking Institute (INI).
Dr. Fujisue holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology (1986), Masters of Science Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1995) Masters of Public Administration from Harvard University (1996) and a Ph.D. in Industrial Management from Tokyo University of Technology (1999).
Dr. Fujisue is the author of several books and articles including; “Researchers Exchange among APEC Economies” (1997) “Management of Technology for Engineers” (Japanese, 1999), “Promoting Innovation for Japanese Economy” (1999), “Technology Incubator” (Japanese, 2001).
